This used to be my personal writing and stuff page...
However, I have been writing a lot recently and so, i have setup a separate website at www.natjm.co.uk.
You might get confused by the name Nat J M so i guess i should explain myself...
RachelAPP is the name i use as a performer and Nat J M is the name i use as a writer - Nat J M is in fact an abbreviation of my real name (Natalie Masse).
The name RachelAPP comes from a project i had a few years ago, which was called APP (HLMHB). I recorded quite a few songs
on my 4 tracks tape recorder and made a CD-R. On the booklet (well, a folded A4 sheet!), i made up "fake" band members. As i am quite obsessed with
the TV show Friends, i called 2 of them Rachel and Monica, which in my mind represented my guitar and my bass.
Anyway, when i decided to stop hiding behind a band's name and take on a name that would reflect the fact this is a solo project,
RachelAPP became quite an obvious choice, as this is the continuity of APP (HLMHB).
So a lot of people call me Rachel and this is fine with me! It allows me to get out of my shell, which is very vital to performing. I am
very shy but RachelAPP isn't quite as shy as Natalie!
I've also started a webzine called "Let Your Thoughts Explode Zine" (and an associated blog, with news about films, music etc) and a
radio show called "Cats Rock The Boat".
